VIS-ENG has developed the ability to find creative solutions for difficult projects. Whether the obstacles are the physical terrain, environmentally sensitive zones, tough regulatory frameworks, or tight financial constraints, we have found ways to integrate solutions to improve the overall project.
Listed below are some sample projects that give an understanding of the Vis-ENG approach and the breadth of our experience. The projects will be tagged with categories to give a sense of the types of projects Vis-ENG has worked on. We will also be adding additional projects that we have proudly been involved in.
A 50-acre residential development in a mountainside neighbourhood with tough terrain and stringent visual impact requirements from the municipality. This project has involved designing all civil services, roads, pump stations, reservoirs, ski area integration, preliminary approvals and site preparation construction and inspection.
VIS-ENG members were the originals and continue to be the engineers of record for all the detailed civil, sediment, and erosion control and stormwater management elements of the project. The main development is complete, and VIS-ENG will work on on-lot servicing, driveway design and stormwater management.

Challenging Drainage and Storm Water on Mountain Slopes
A 700-acre, residential development on a mountainside neighbourhood with tough terrain and encroachments with rivers, highway, rail, hydro and creeks. The project is within SLRD and does not have any existing services. This project has involved the design of all civil services, roads, pump stations, reservoirs, creation of a CPCN, creation of an ISMP, bridges, preliminary approvals and site preparation, construction and inspection. We have provided project management for civil works, bridge construction, wetland restoration projects, site development, entry monuments, water systems and coordination with sewage treatment plant construction. The main development is now complete and VIS-ENG will be working on on-lot servicing, driveway design and stormwater management. VIS-ENG will be hired by the original developer to design the roads and services for the 12-unit duplex phase in the new year.
VIS-ENG members were the original, and continue to be, the Engineer of record for all the detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project and have managed the tender and construction of the works to date.

A multi-phase residential single-family parcel development with partial communal septic, a new well and a water treatment pump station with a future water reservoir. Additionally, this project will have a partially assisted living site for those with special needs. This project has involved the design of all civil services, roads, pump stations, preliminary approvals site preparation construction and inspection.
