PROJECT HISTORY - INSTITUTIONAL

A 240-acre mixed-use development with a full-service university, resident housing, market housing, sports field, pump station, equalization and pumping reservoir, wetlands, creek crossings and significant offsite works. 

This project involved the design, approvals, construction and inspection of several kilometres of road, the grading and servicing of the core university buildings, grading for resident housing buildings, integration of a geothermal heat system, tying into the existing water system and adding an equalization reservoir, pump station and storage water for the domestic system. 

 VIS-ENG members were the original and continue to be the Engineer of record for all the preliminary and detailed Civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project managed the tender and construction of the works and provided inspection on all ongoing and completed civil works. The main development is now complete and VIS-ENG will be working on on-lot servicing, driveway design and stormwater management. 

Development of a dedicated public community space for Bowen Island.  

VIS-ENG is responsible for civil servicing, parking lot/driveway, site grading, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, tender, inspections, inspection reporting, and as-built submissions and sign-off. 

 A development for a new multi-faced health and wellness centre for Bowen Island.
